ABOUT US

Welcome to Nava Jyothi Mahila Mandali

NAVAJYOTHI MAHILA MANDALI was established with a group of dedicated social workers and started services for rural reconstruction, aiming towards "Rural Prosperity" with the vision of Mahatma Ghandhi. It is registered as a voluntary services organization in the year 1987 on 11th May under Andhra pradesh (Telangana Areas) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 Fasali, with Registration No. 1118/87. It is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, with Registration No. 010320481. The donations made to the organization are exempted under Section 80(G) of Income Tax Act 1961.


The main purpose of the organisation is to provide a better community, better environment and better living conditions for the poor and neglected sections of society.


AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To promote socio economic development of weaker section women by forming SHGs and implementing income generating activities.
  • To take up relief and rehabilitation programmes for orphans, street children, destitute and mentally retarded persons.
  • To organize work shops, seminars and awareness programmes and trainings for empowerment of women.
  • To provide services for social and cultural development of under privileged people.
  • To establish schools for dropouts, unenrolled child labour and street children.
  • To promote literacy among adults.
  • To provide employment to poor women.
  • To start crèches for small children to help middle class employed women and labour women.
  • To form selfhelp groups for providing financial assistance for income generating activities.
  • To resolve family confilicts through family counselling centres.

About Us

Achievements

  • Trained over 800 women in various income generating trainings for the last 3 years.
  • Provided primary education for more than 250 dropout children and admitted them in regular schools.
  • Motivated more than 200 women and men to undergo family planning operation.
  • Formed 10 SHG groups and extending loans to 125-130 SHG beneficiaries every year from internal savings.
